A local backup is particularly useful because restoring large amounts of data over a local network is usually much faster than downloading everything from the internet.

Copy #3: An Offsite Backup
The final copy should be stored away from the primary business location.
Cloud backup is one common solution.
If the office experiences theft, fire, flooding, catastrophic hardware damage, or another major incident, the offsite backup remains available.
Together, these layers provide much stronger protection than any individual backup by itself.
Backups Are an Important Defense Against Ransomware
